Arnhem - 'A Bridge Too Far'

Arnhem - 'A Bridge Too Far'

Operation Market Garden was the largest airborne operation in history and was an unsuccessful allied military operation fought in the Netherlands and Germany.  Over 30,000 men of the Allied Airborne Corps were flown behind enemy lines into occupied Holland and their mission was to clear and capture six major river and canal crossings. This operation is also referred to as the battle of Arnhem or 'A Bridge Too Far'.

We will learn about the sacrifice these men went through; follow the route of the troops and visit the key locations of the battle.
